Made things much easier

So, I finally got around to trying RentRedi for collecting rent and handling those annoying maintenance requests. Honestly, it was way easier than I thought it would be. Setting up my property and getting my tenants on board for rent payments didn't take long at all. The landlord app is pretty handy too. Definitely made my life less stressful, which is a win in my book.

Good features, some hiccups

I signed up for RentRedi primarily for the tenant screening and online lease agreements. The initial setup was straightforward enough, and uploading my properties went fine. I used the background checks for a new tenant, and the results came back within a day or so, which was efficient. However, I had a slight issue with syncing my online lease template; it took a call to customer support to get that sorted out. They were helpful, but it added an extra step. The financial reporting tools are decent for P&L statements, giving a clear overview. Overall, it's a solid platform for property management, though there's still room for small interface improvements here and there.

Easy rent collection

Used RentRedi for rent collection. It worked well. Tenants paid easily. Good for basic property management. I'd use it again.

Consistent service, reliable tools

I've been using RentRedi for a few years now for my properties, and it's always been solid. This last annual renewal for rent collection and maintenance management was smooth, just like the others. I appreciate that the features I rely on, like the tenant app, work consistently. It saves me a lot of time every month. No surprises, which is exactly what I need.

Decent value, but not perfect

I switched to RentRedi for their rent collection and reporting features. On the positive side, the annual plan was a good deal, and the rent collection has been reliable. My tenants found the app easy to use for payments. I also tried the pre-qualification forms, which saved some time. My main gripe is that the accounting integration with REI Hub felt a bit clunky to set up initially. It eventually worked, but it wasn't as seamless as I'd hoped. Still, for the price, it handles most of what I need, and the support team helped when I got stuck.

Does RentRedi offer any kind of discount if I'm managing student housing? I've got a few properties near a campus.

D David Hughes 2 months ago
I think they do actually! I remember seeing something about a student housing discount on their site or in an email once. You might wanna check their plans or just hit up their support chat.

My buddy manages some student rentals and he said he got a specific deal for it. Don't know the exact details but it's worth asking them directly.

Anyone know if RentRedi ever does like, Black Friday sales or anything? Trying to decide if I should wait to sign up.

A Alex 1 month ago
Yeah, they usually do something around then. I think last year they had a pretty decent deal for new annual subscriptions. Might be worth waiting a bit if you're not in a rush.

Definitely. Most of these SaaS companies have big sales around November/December. Keep an eye out then, or sometimes they'll do partner offers with real estate influencers too.

Trying to pick between RentRedi and TurboTenant. Any thoughts on which is better for a smaller landlord, like 3-4 units?

A Andre T. 1 month ago
I used TurboTenant before and switched to RentRedi. RentRedi feels more robust, especially for maintenance requests and accounting integration. TurboTenant is okay for super basic stuff but RentRedi scales better.

For 3-4 units, either could work, but I found RentRedi's interface a bit cleaner. Plus, the tenant app is a big win for my renters. TurboTenant felt a little clunkier to me.

Is RentRedi actually legit or is it one of those sketchy platforms? I'm worried about my tenant's info.

C Cleo W. 1 month ago
Totally legit. Been using them for over a year now, no issues with data or anything. My tenants like the app too.

Yeah, it's a real company. I mean, they're not some fly-by-night operation. They've been around for a while and seem to take security seriously, afaik.

Thinking of switching to RentRedi but wondering how much of a hassle it is to get all my properties set up. Is it super complicated if I have like, 10 units?

S Sarah R. 2 months ago
Nah, it's pretty straightforward. I have 7 and it took me maybe an afternoon to get everything ported over and tenants invited. Just need your lease info handy.

It's not bad at all. They really design it for landlords with multiple units, so adding more isn't like, a separate subscription for each or anything. Plus the tenant invite thing works well.
